COMMUNICATIONS

 

 

SECTION ONE:  PURPOSE:  

 

The need to improve communications in churches in general as well as each ministry is ongoing.

 

 

SECTION TWO:  PRACTICE

 

1.         Ministry Leaders are to complete an Activity Planning Sheet to aid in communications as well as overall planning of special events.   After the event, an evaluation of the event is to be added to this planning sheet to provide guidelines for future events.     A copy of the Event Planning Sheet is attached.

 

2.         The attached “Promoting Your Event” serves as an aid planning the communications strategy of special events.

 

3.         In the interests of internal communications as well as enabling better responses to the public and members of the congregation trying to contact staff, all staff are to notify the Receptionist concerning their whereabouts during office hours.

 

 

SECTOIN THREE:   PROCEDURES

 

1.         The Senior Pastor and Administrator or designate is to receive an initial copy of the Activity Planning Sheet and updates as the planning process progresses.

 

2.         After the event, and once the evaluation has been added to the sheet, the Administrator will file a copy of the Planning Sheet in the Special Events Binder in the Reception Office.

 

3.         The Administrator or designate will order signs and arrange with office staff to handle promotions of the event in accordance with “Promoting Your Event”.
